A New Day

I am glad to see a sunny morning outside my window. After all of these years of living in the tropics, I still find myself amazed at how a beautiful, sunny morning can turn into a dark, torrential rain storm within a few minutes. It is the rainy season, so it is nice to have the sunny mornings. A few weeks ago we did not see the sun for a week so I appreciate the sunshine this morning.

I was annoyed with myself the other day. You would think I would learn after fourteen rainy seasons. I had to take Lindsey to Tae Kwon Do. I parked at the top of Session Road at SM. Our walk to lessons would normally be a five minute downhill walk. I should have waited. Everyone else was waiting. Hundreds of people lined up under the eaves. Waiting. But oh no. Not me. We needed to get there. So off the two of us went passing the patient people. Rain, wind, inches of water running down the road. The end result was that we got to the gym 40 minutes early. Sad to say I sat for two hours soaked to my knees. I literally wrung out my socks (tacky I know) out the window of the gym. Cold and wet and early. To make things worse... fifteen minutes after we arrived...the rain stopped. When will I learn?
